Chris Cain, Partner and Author
buy lasix no prescription Chris Cain is the Workers Compensation Division Manager of Collins and Company, Inc. where he has worked for the past 20+ years. Through his career as a multi-line independent claims adjuster, Chris has been involved in multi-million dollar property and liability claims, as well as managed large insurance pool claims. Presently he manages both self insured and fully insured claims for Workers Compensation programs. Prior to his insurance career, Chris worked on his family’s commercial chicken and cattle farm.
Chris has seen many changes in the industry during his career but his passion is to work with individuals to resolve differences and adjudicate claims fairly and efficiently. He relies on his past experience and common-sense approach to break situations down to their simplest elements.
Chris firmly believes that there are three common elements to all situations… “The first is no matter how automated and computerized we become, there is a human element that makes each claim different. Second, education and keeping up with the laws, rules and best practices is not only essential but a day-by-day experience. And third, the professional interaction of the claims segment is interdependent upon different professions; especially in Workers Compensation. This includes but not limited to legal, medical, and accounting…”
Chris has saved millions of dollars for his clients over the course of his career – from auditing insurance carrier files to training self-insured clients. He feels that there is a definite disconnect between the insurance industry and stakeholders. He envisions a day when policyholders will take the same approach as self-insured employers and implement the best practices.
Chris graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a B.S. in Finance with a minor in Economics. He is licensed as an adjuster in five states. In addition, he holds agents license in two states and maintains his Certified Workers Compensation Professional designation which helped inspire the Certified Workers Compensation Executive program. He is a Past President of the Tennessee Claims Association and has served several years as the President of the Chattanooga Claims Association.
